Mode of action:
The MANTRA ME lure is an attractant for Fruit fly (B. dorsalis). The MANTRA ME lure installed in McPhail trap can be used for monitoring and mass trapping of B. dorsalis. MANTRA ME lure will release the para-pheromone at a constant rate over a period of 90-120 days. The fruit flies are attracted and fall into the trap installed. By monitoring farmer can decide his pesticide spray schedule for B. dorsalis and through mass trapping the pest intensity will be reduced by trapping a part of pest population. Application
Protocol:
Place the MANTRA ME tablet Lure in the McPhail trap and install the trap randomly (avoiding the borders) in any fruit crop such away that traps get distributed uniformly across the field; care should be taken to install the trap just 1.5-2 meter height or near the fruiting part of the crop. It is recommended to use one MANTRA ME tablet lure per recommended trap. One MANTRA ME tablet lure works efficiently for up to 120 days in field, depending upon climatic conditions.
